FUTA students drown to death in school
Disaster struck in akure yesterday, Saturday July the first as two students of the federal university of technology akure, FUTA lost their lives during the usual entrepreneur training, a course which every year three student of the school is mandated to take .
The unfortunate incident which led to the death of two student took place at the entrepreneurship training center at the laboratory for Fishery and Aquaculture, at the back of great hall, Obakekere.
After the training, four students decided to take a selfie on the canoe packed at the venue, during that process, the canoe which the four of them were in capsized. Four of them found themselves inside the water, two of them narrowly escaped because they were able to swim, while the other two found it difficult to swim which lead to their drowning to death.
A student who begged anonymous said the two students who survived ran to the village around the river to get help and were told by the villagers that they couldn't swim. Though no confirmation from the school authorities as at the time of filing this report, but the school's student body through It's P.R.O made a press release announcing the death of *OLABIYI EMMANUEL* , from the department of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering (AGE) 300level, and *OLOKUN BABATUNDE ALEX*, from the department of Project Management Technology (PMT) 300 level who drowned on Saturday.
