We’re lying to ourselves about Nigeria — Akingba, Afenifere chieftain

Image
WHAT is your reaction to the assertions of the Arewa youths? I am not surprised at all, Nigeria is threatening everybody and groups. What do you mean by Nigeria, are we not Nigerians? Yes, when we lie to ourselves and we are reaping the fruits of lying. We say we are a federal republic, we are not republic. We say the state of Nigeria is secular, we are not secular .We use tax payers’ money to send people to Saudi Arabia and Israel every year, a country that is built on fraud will reap fraud and when the fraud is coming, we say people are shouting, why wouldn’t they shout? Hospitals are gone, schools are gone, the roads are not there, electricity does not exist, water is scarce and you think people will not cry. Akingba What is the way out? The way out is to go back to the drawing board, this constitution is not made by Nigerians, it is imposed. A federal constitution should be a truly federal constitution, you don’t centralise everything. The people at the centre in Abuja, they are...

Seven Deadly Sins Christians Must Never Commit

Image
There are these seven deadly sins which all xtians must stay away from which i will like to share with you all These seven deadly sins in their current form are not found in the Bible, however there are biblical antecedents. One such antecedent is found in the Book of Proverbs 6:16–19, however only in the Masoretic Text (the earlier translated Septuagint version of this passage lacks a clear preface and lists only five). Among the verses traditionally associated with King Solomon, it states that the Lord specifically regards "six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him", namely: 1. A proud (vain) look 2. A lying tongue. 3. Hands that shed innocent blood 4. A heart that deviseth wicked acts 5. Feet that be swift in running to mischief 6. A false witness that speaketh lies 7. He that soweth discord among brethren Please stay away from sins, Hell is real https://goodconfession.com/the-seven-deadly-sins/

Can You Be A Christian And Not Go To Church?

My sister-in-law does not attend church nor have any fellowship apart from me but believes she is a christian because she prays, reads the bible and believes that Jesus is Lord. But friends say she is decieved and not a christian at all, I’m confused can you be a christian and not go to church? - anne Anne, I’m not surprised that you’re confused because it is true to say both that you don’t need to go to church to be a Christian and that if you don’t go to church, you’re not a Christian. Let me explain. If we were to narrow down what it means to be a Christian, the best place to look is at one of the people who Jesus said was a Christian. If you remember the thief on the cross next to Jesus ( Luke 23:39-43), Jesus promises this man that he will be with him in paradise. This man never got to go to church, and yet he is a Christian because he trusts in Jesus. So in that sense it is true to say that you don’t have to be a church goer to be a Christian. In fact as soon as you say you “have...
