An armed robber identified simply as wee wee was shot dead after being nabbed during operation. According to reports, the Police arrested the only female robber among the six man gang as four other gang members fled. The female criminal was identified by the Imo State commissioner of police, Chris Ezike, as Comfort Okon, 28 years from Akwa Ibom state. The incident happened at the 7up depot in Orlu, Imo state. According to the CP , one AK 47 rifle , a motorcycle and the sum of N193,980 were recovered from the gunmen. Residents raised the alarm which led to an immediate response by the police. In an attempt to overpower the policemen, the hoodlums engaged them in a shootout . While one of them died , the only female robber among the gang was arrested while the other four are still at large . Kyari told our correspondent on the phone that to avoid any delay due to the usual chaotic traffic situation on Lagos roads, he had to quickly jump on a commercial motorcycle from his Ikeja GRA location to Magodo GRA Phase II to arrest Evans, who he had earlier been informed by his men already deployed in the area, was making frantic preparations to leave his mansion very soon. The Managing Director of Capital Oil and Gas Limited and Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club, Ifeanyi Ubah, has been released by Department of State Security (DSS) Details of his release will be published soon. On Friday, 5th May, Ifeanyi Ubah was arrested, by the DSS for his refusal to remit N11 billion of realised from the sales of petroleum products stored in his facility by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC. DSS spokesman, Tony Opuiyo also accused Dr, Ubah of inciting members of the Petroleum Tanker Drivers Union to stop lifting petroleum products. According to reports, many Fulani Herdsmen were displaced as scores of cows were allegedly killed by Mambilla militia group in Sardauna local government areas, Taraba State, North eastern Nigeria, locals and officials have confirmed. The violence is said to be between the Kakas and Fulani ethnic groups. Reports had it that the Mambilla militia and youth attack was an alleged transfer of aggression against Fulani, following arrest of a Mambilla man by security agents for alleged breach of peace. A simultaneous outbreak of violent erupted in several villages across Sardauna Local Government Area of the State on Sunday morning which left hundreds houses burnt, cows killed, while many people injured. Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has said his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi, is angry with him because of his nickname “Mr. Project.” Wike made the remark while reacting to statement by Amaechi, who criticized the title “Mr. Project” ascribed to him. Speaking in Port Harcourt, the state capital, on Monday, the governor described Amaechi’s alleged criticism on projects and programmes across the state as unfortunate, saying, “It is unfortunate that someone who was celebrating his 52nd birthday would tell Rivers people what is not correct.” He pointed out that it was wrong for Amaechi to compare his eight years as governor to the two years he has spent so far.
