Nnamdi Kanu Declared Wanted By Rivals Of IPOB Group In Rivers State

Rival pro-Biafra group, the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra Rebranded, IPOBR, has declared the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, wanted for “betraying the struggle” for Biafra as laid down by late warlord, Odumegwu Ojukwu. The group accused Kanu of bringing public hatred on the entire Igbo race through his utterances and actions. In a statement by its Director-General, Mazi Ibekwe Ozuruigbo, IPOBR questioned the authority of Kanu to oppose the coming Anambra state gubernatorial election. IPOBR says anybody with useful information about the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu should contact it for prompt action. Despite the prevalence and success of ‘disposable’ (commercial) music in the music industry, Adekunle Gold says he’s not ready to hop aboard that bandwagon. The singer says although “there is that pressure” to make music that will possibly expand his fan base, he constantly reminds himself of why he got into “this business”. Gold says he’s keen on making “timeless music” that will remain evergreen for as long as possible. “My goal is not to make disposable music, I want to make timeless music. Constantly I remind myself. I feel like I can write any type of song but will it last me for a decade or a century,” he said in a   YouTube interview . The singer also narrated how he came about the name ‘Gold’ in 2008. At least 23 Nigerian universities have adopted the 120 cut-off mark recently introduced by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB. The universities, mostly private, are among the 168 universities in Nigeria whose cut-off marks were released in a document PREMIUM TIMES obtained from JAMB on Friday. The Registrar and Chief Executive of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, on Friday dismissed the speculation of a stalemate in the admission of fresh students into universities across the country. Oloyede, who spoke during an interview with journalists shortly after a visit to the zonal office of the board in Benin, the Edo State capital, insisted that all universities have been barred from conducting written examinations before admitting students. He also denied the alleged imposition of prospective students on universities, adding that issues over the admission of fresh students into tertiary institutions had been resolved after due consultations with all stakeholders.
